Conservation and Capacity Building Through WVLT

West Virginia Land Trust is seeking funding for four projects to increase conservation land and capacity in its network. They hope to acquire up to 700 acres at Cheat River Watershed to expand protection and consolidate ecological and recreational connectivity, and Potts Creek Watershed requires habitat protection and restoration to ensure protection of endangered species. To ease the crush of visitors from recent national recognition, New River National Park and Reserve hopes to add three more access points, and WVLT needs more staff to better seek high-profile, high-priority lands for conservation purposes.
