Protection of Natural Stormwater Buffer

Located in southern Greenville County, "Preston's Farm" shares its western boundary with the Reedy River, one of the Upstate region’s most important watercourses. The Reedy River streambank and adjacent duck pond are the most outstanding natural resources on the property, serving to mitigate the climatic impacts of severe storm events to downstream property. Protection of these water systems would add approximately 1,100 feet of protected riparian area to an existing mile of streambank already protected with a conservation easement.
