Peregrine Tract

Peregrine tract spans a unique, sensitive zone at the base of the iconic Whiteside Mountain, across the head of pure source waters feeding the National Wild & Scenic Chattooga River. Surrounded on all sides by United States Forest Service land, it hosts hundreds of visitors annually at Whiteside Mountain with its views of largely undisturbed forests in the upper Chattooga River watershed. The threat of a subdivision here, with its certain environmental and cultural damages, makes this a very high priority for conservation.
