Cane River Confluence

This 424 acre acquisition target protects 1.5 miles of river frontage on North Carolina's Cane and Nolichucky Rivers. The project focuses on floodwater mitigation in an area devastated by Hurricane Helene and protects multiple species of endangered mussels. Future uses of the property include a public park with boat ramps supporting paddling and guided river outings.
